Er, wow. It's been a while since I changed journals huh. Kinda did the vanishing thing on here for the last 2 monthsish, since it was like the BIRTHDAY MONTHS OF DOOM, omg. Anyway, learned my lesson about photoshoping gifts there, good lord.

Anyway, that naturally stole some of my sanity for a while, but I'm drawing for myself again, and am (sadly?) regressing a bit and just drawing how I want to. But it makes me happy to be creating/drawing whatever, whenever, and however I want. Too long was I staying restricted to trying to be accurate or just not quite able to harness the ideas that make things I actually feel proud of.

Come to think of it, I still haven't done anything major in a while that I've been happy with, but I feel like I'm getting closer <_<.


Anyway. I rewatched Invader Zim on my birthday which is a little bit of a catalyst for reminding me that I do like drawing more cartoonishly, but doesn't necessarily have to be anime (though that's sorta still how I'm doing it, aha.) And I subsequently went on a Vasquez comic binge some time after, and in combination with some other events, helped me get off my lazy ass and start making stuff again!

._. this revelation is going to fuck me over for all my classes I think, it's been so distracting (even for art.) BUT MY GOD IS IT BETTER. (I am so not making it to UCLA at this rate.) But I do sort of need my AMAZING logic brains back, dammit.
